During foundation construction, use high-quality concrete with a mix ratio of 1:2:3 (cement:sand:gravel) to achieve optimal strength. After pouring, cure the concrete for at least seven days, maintaining a temperature above 5°C and keeping the surface moist to prevent cracking.
Once the foundation is ready, position the machine over the anchor bolt holes. Use a digital or bubble level to check horizontal alignment along both the length and width axes. For large machines, adjust the height using inclined iron plates with slopes ranging from 1:20 to 1:10, combined with flat steel plates. Place these under the anchor bolts to fine-tune the machine's elevation.
After initial positioning, pre-tighten the anchor bolts diagonally to distribute force evenly. Fill the bolt holes with secondary concrete and allow it to cure for at least ten days before final tightening. This extended curing period ensures maximum stability and prevents settling.
The hydraulic system is critical for mold clamping and material extrusion. Start by checking the oil level in the pressure tank and the lubricator. Ensure hydraulic oil and lubricants are clean and at the recommended levels. After filling, run the hydraulic pump briefly without pressure to circulate the oil and remove air bubbles.
Next, adjust the hydraulic system pressure to the manufacturer's specifications. Use a pressure gauge to monitor the system while gradually increasing the load. If leaks are detected in hydraulic pipes, tighten connections or replace damaged components immediately.
Proper lubrication reduces friction and extends the lifespan of moving parts. Focus on areas such as mold guide rails, rolling wheels, pre-clamping device guide shafts, and gearboxes. Apply the recommended lubricant to these components regularly, following the manufacturer's maintenance schedule.
For machines with automatic lubrication systems, ensure the oil reservoir is filled and the system is functioning correctly. Set the lubrication intervals and quantities based on the machine's operational hours to prevent over- or under-lubrication.
Before installing the mold, thoroughly clean its surface and the contact areas with the machine templates. Remove any dirt, grease, or residual material that could affect product quality. Inspect the mold for cracks, wear, or other defects that might compromise its performance.
Align the mold with the machine's clamping unit, ensuring it is centered and level. Use alignment tools or laser guides to verify positioning accuracy. Once aligned, tighten the mold clamping bolts securely to prevent movement during operation.
For machines with adjustable template parallelism, use the alignment screws to fine-tune the mold's position. This step is crucial for maintaining consistent wall thickness in the final product. After adjustment, perform a test clamping cycle to confirm the mold remains stable under pressure.
Protect electrical components from moisture and dust to prevent short circuits or malfunctions. Install covers or enclosures around control panels, motors, and sensors. Regularly inspect these components for signs of corrosion or damage and replace any faulty parts immediately.
Calibrate the machine's control system to ensure accurate operation of all functions. This includes setting parameters for temperature control, pressure monitoring, and cycle timing. Use the manufacturer's guidelines or a calibration tool to adjust these settings as needed.
Test the control system by running the machine in manual mode first. Observe the operation of safety doors, indicators, and valves to confirm they respond correctly to commands. If any issues are detected, troubleshoot the control circuit or consult the machine's manual for guidance.
After completing the initial setup, perform an empty run test to verify the machine's basic functionality. Start the machine in manual mode and observe the movement of the clamping unit, extruder, and other components. Check for unusual noises, vibrations, or errors in the control system.
